Horsepower (noun)

1) A unit of measurement of power, or the rate at which work is done, usually in reference to the output of engines or motors.

2) Idiomatically, a term for the intellect, creativity, and drive that enable people to accomplish great things.

Horses have shaped culture as much as they have shaped sport. Horsepower explores their enduring influence on art, literature, film, photography, society, and the traditions and ideas that continue to captivate riders and non-riders alike. And sometimes, Horsepower gets out of the saddle altogether, exploring cultural topics beyond the horse world, from museum exhibitions and fashion to books, music, and other discoveries that inspire me.
