Edinburgh's deep history, striking architecture, and lively atmosphere were what first inspired me to visit Scotland, but I soon realized the city was only the beginning of everything the country has to offer. Wandering along the Royal Mile and Victoria Street, exploring Edinburgh Castle, and discovering charming cafés and restaurants made every day memorable, but some of my favorite experiences came from venturing beyond the city. A day trip to Gleneagles offered breathtaking countryside views, as well as the chance to try archery and clay pigeon shooting, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed! Seeing the horses there made the experience even more special. Another unforgettable highlight was spotting Scotland's iconic Highland cows, which were without a doubt one of the best parts of my trip. I also spent a day exploring the coastal town of St Andrews with its beautiful beaches, renowned university, castle and cathedral ruins, and world-famous golf links. From the vibrant streets of Edinburgh to the peaceful landscapes of the Scottish countryside, this trip perfectly blended history, nature, and unforgettable moments that made Scotland even more incredible than I had imagined and showed me why it captures the hearts of so many travelers.
