Ireland Travel Guide

From the colorful streets of Dublin to the breathtaking coastline of Howth, Ireland had been high on my travel bucket list for years. Its rich history, literary heritage, and spirited energy made me fall in love with the country. But what truly made my trip unforgettable was the warmth of its people and the seamless blend of vibrant city life with beautiful natural landscapes just beyond Dublin's city limits. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the charming seaside town of Howth, where dramatic cliff walks, fresh seafood, and picturesque harbor views revealed a different side of Ireland. Another special experience was seeing “Legally Blonde: The Musical” in Dublin, which was a wonderful introduction to the city's thriving theater scene. There was one adventure I had hoped to include that will have to wait until next time: horseback riding at Castle Leslie. Although I didn't make it there on this visit, it gives me the perfect excuse to return—and it's definitely something I'll be coming back to Ireland for. Throughout my trip, I wandered through historic neighborhoods; explored Trinity College's breathtaking Old Library with its soaring ceiling and spectacular suspended model of Earth; browsed beautiful goods—including clothes at Brown Thomas, handcrafted Celtic jewelry, and colorful Irish wool blankets; enjoyed an amazing strawberry tart at Hawksmoor; and embraced the welcoming charm that makes Dublin so appealing. Whether you're exploring EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum or taking a scenic day trip to Howth, Dublin offers something for history lovers, food enthusiasts, nature seekers, shoppers, theater lovers, and anyone looking to experience the spirit of Ireland.
